Job Title : Construction Inspector
Location : Warren, NJ

Type : Contract-to-Hire
Compensation : $22-$25/hour
Contractor Work Model : Onsite

CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR

OVERVIEW

We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Construction Inspectors to support materials testing and inspection activities at active construction sites. Candidates must have their own reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement provided), and should be experienced in soil, concrete, or asphalt testing, either in the field or lab.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform field testing of construction materials (e.g., soils, concrete, asphalt, rebar, masonry)
• Record and communicate accurate test data to project managers and contractors
• Transport material samples to the lab for analysis
• Support lab-based materials testing when needed
• Travel to job sites and maintain clear documentation of inspections

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2 years of field experience performing inspection and testing on construction materials such as soil, concrete, masonry, and reinforcing steel
• Must hold active ACI or ICC certifications in any of the following areas:
• Soils
• Masonry
• Concrete Placement
• Reinforced Concrete

• NJ Special Inspectors certification is a plus
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation required
• Associate’s degree preferred (Civil Engineering Technology or similar preferred)
• Prior experience in a soils or materials lab is a plus
