We are seeking a hardworking, motivated, and physically fit Skilled Warehouse Laborer - Pallet Repair to join our team. This role is crucial for a skilled tradesman or repairman who is passionate about working with lumber. The position, also known as a Pallet Repair Technician, involves a variety of tasks from inspecting pallets for damage, using power tools to repair them, to breaking down unusable pallets and sorting components. Pay Rate:

• Training Pay: $22.00/hour
• Post-Training Pay: Up to $30.00/hour, based on individual production

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Skilled Warehouse Laborer - Pallet Repair, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Inspecting pallets for damage, wear, and structural issues.
• Using tools like nail guns and power saws to repair pallets, replace boards, and reinforce weak areas.
• Partnering with another team member to operate production equipment to provide consistent quality.
• Dismantling pallets using multiple types of equipment.
• Evaluating lumber and pallet components to determine usability and ensure they meet PLA standards.
• Stacking and storing reusable components and properly disposing of unusable pieces.
• Following all safety procedures, wearing proper PPE, and performing routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Collaborating with team members to meet or exceed daily production goals.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience as a repairman or in pallet repair, woodworking, carpentry, or construction is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in manual labor or a similar field.
• Familiarity with tools such as nail guns, power saws, and hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and imperfections in pallets and lumber.
• Ability to work with high-powered saws in a fast-paced assembly line environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; any combination of education and experience will be considered.
• A strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
• The ability to work cooperatively with a partner.

Physical Requirements:

• This position requires prolonged periods of standing and walking while at the assigned station.
• Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling 75 pounds or more repeatedly throughout the workday.
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift for 8 to 10 hours.
• Requires the ability to perform an array of strenuous manual labor tasks.

Other Physical Requirements

• Vision: Requires adequate near vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception to safely perform job duties, identify pallet defects, operate tools, read labels, and recognize workplace hazards.
• Sense of Sound: Ability to hear horns, alarms, machinery, and verbal instructions in a potentially noisy warehouse environment.
• Sense of Touch: Ability to use hands and fingers effectively to handle tools, fasteners, materials, and equipment with precision and control.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Ability to consistently wear required PPE, including steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and gloves, throughout the workday.

Work Environment:

• Most duties are performed in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
• You will be exposed to dust, noise, and changing temperatures.
• All duties require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
