Sewing Machine Operator / Production Support

Located in Fort Pierce, FL, the Warren Heim Division of National Safety Apparel manufactures canvas and vinyl bags and specialty products. Position Summary
The Sewing Machine Operator / Production Support role is a versatile position responsible for both sewing operations and supporting various production tasks across the facility. This position involves preparing, assembling, and sewing high-quality canvas and vinyl products, as well as performing other hands-on and support tasks as needed to ensure smooth manufacturing operations. Responsibilities

• Prepare items for sewing on heavy-duty machines by flipping bags (inside-out or outside-in, depending on type) and installing rings
• Operate a variety of heavy-duty, long-arm sewing machines to sew tool bag bottoms and bag rings
  • Learn correct assembly steps for a wide variety of products
• Operate RF welding machines to weld vinyl for bucket covers and oil spill bags
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on all operated equipment
• Support other production tasks as needed, including shipping/receiving, parts kitting, and cross-training in other manufacturing processes

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs

Requirements

Experience (Preferred)

• Industrial sewing experience
• Manufacturing experience
• Forklift experience

Language

• English (preferred)

Ability to Commute/Relocate

• Must reliably commute to Fort Pierce, FL 34946 or plan to relocate prior to starting work
